It was a wild Memorial Day for me here on Streaking In Public. I've learned once and for all that I can't trust the sport of tennis. I was also reminded that the NBA referees go by the Roger Goodell system of writing the rule book in pencil. But that was yesterday, what does this day have in store for me in the Streakosphere? Let's dive in.
When I flipped the gamecast of Indians/Rangers on yesterday and saw 7-7 as the score in the third inning, I was stoked because I had Cleveland's Michael Brantley on Beat The Streak. I came down quite hard when I saw that he had not contributed to any of the Tribe's seven runs to that point. I got my happy ending later on when Brantley got a hit in the sixth. Therefore, I am on a W2 today with Toronto's Josh Donaldson as my hitter. Donaldson takes on John Danks, who he absolutely demolishes. He's hitting .444 against him with a home run and five RBI. W3 for me please.
I left a great deal of you in the dark with my Streak picks yesterday and I apologize. Working on Memorial Day meant I wasn't going to be able to get to my phone or a computer with any regularity as the yuppie tourist army swarmed my store. After the Sam Querrey debacle in the morning, I jinxed the Astros into an L2 in the afternoon. The Warriors/Rockets game, despite all the nonsense occurring in the game itself, was able to get me to a W2 (Thompson/Curry/Harden 1st half 3pt made, 30+ 1 team in any 2nd half quarter) coming into today. As you can see from the pictures above I have picks set for both 2 PM and 3 PM. You also know that can't be. Well, somebody at Streak made a boo-boo and put the Le Mans/Lyon game up a day early so that went out the window. I got clarification from the source.
@TREVORutley Game's not until tomorrow. We didn't want to not have a pick window for people, so we added soccer instead.

Other than my Streak victories, the less said about last night's Rockets/Warriors game the better. The Rockets staved off elimination but not without controversy on two fronts: Dwight Howard not being ejected after drilling Andrew Bogut (my pick yesterday on Drive To The Finals) with an elbow & Stephen Curry being allowed to return after taking an ugly back body drop onto the floor from Trevor Ariza. There should be less ugliness from tonight's game as the Hawks face elimination against the Cavs. Al Horford may have avoided suspension for his "Flagrant 2" in Game 3, which goes against the NBA's "letter-of-the-law" spewing throughout the game, but he won't be enough to keep LeBron James and the brooms out of the Finals. My pick for tonight will be Kent Bazemore, the injured Kyle Korver's replacement at shooting guard. I battled back and forth between Bazemore and Jeff Teague before settling on the former. If somehow the Zombie Hawks rise from the dead again, I'll at least have Teague available for Game 5. HAPPY STREAKING EVERYBODY!!!!
