It is good to be back. After three days on the technology disabled list, Streaking In Public is back and better than ever. Well the better than ever part is up to you, but at least I'm back. It is fitting though that I make my return on one of the biggest Streak days of the year, the NCAA Basketball Tip-Off Marathon. From midnight to midnight, ESPN is all college basketball all the time. The exceptions are of course Sportscenter and First Take, mostly because LeBron James and the entire NFL don't play college basketball.
Unlike the current leaderboard, my day did not start at 1:05 this morning. I'm pretty certain I have an abscessed tooth and pretty much did everything outside of ripping the thing clean out of my jaw to go to sleep. Pulling an all-nighter or setting a 1:00 alarm was out of the question. Instead I will be starting my Streak day at noon. To maximize my picks for the day, seeing how I am at an L2 after another defeat off books last night, I will only be picking props over the course of the day. I am only displaying my first and last picks above because frankly, I don't know what I want to pick and what I'll be able to get in over the course of these next eleven hours. Here is why I am choosing what I am choosing today.
It is one game into the season! I have no idea what I am talking about right now when it comes to college basketball! I have no gauge on who's good as I've seen half of one game: Duke's massacre of Presbyterian. Pre-season rankings are a joke for the most part. Pre-season awards are even worse. I am just going to try to ride a wave of good fortune and make it to Wednesday with green on my screen. I just know it won't be the $10,000 the marathon winner will receive. That's ok. I hate running anyway. HAPPY STREAKING EVERYBODY!!
