Today is the last day to get into a Bleeding Your Colors group in the three mini-games ESPN.com offers. The Eliminator Challenge is the easiest of the three to play. Pick one team a week to win a game straight up. The wrinkle is that once you pick a team, you can't pick them again. The Eagles are the trendy pick Week 1 (they're my pick) but be warned that the sure thing doesn't always pan out.
The Gridiron Challenge is similar to the Eliminator but instead of picking a team you pick a fantasy team. Remember though, each time you use a player they are out of your player pool for the rest of the season. Things get pretty dicey come the later weeks if you burn all your talent early.
Pigskin Pick 'Em is exactly what it says. A group maker can choose between picking straight up or against the spread. I've chosen the BYC group to be a spread group. It makes the "easier" picks more though provoking.
The first game between Green Bay and Seattle is tonight at 8:30 so if you are interested in joining any of these wonderful games (with so many Best Buy gift cards at stake!), create your entry and be sure to search for Bleeding Your Colors in the group directories to go toe to toe with myself and other folks you may know. Take care!
