It's another light day here on Streaking In Public. While I slowly chug along on Beat the Streak, I wait for the next page in the calendar on Streak for the Cash. The lull is intensified by the fact that the NBA Finals don't fire up until Thursday. Well, enough with the space filling, let's get to the picks.
Jason Kipnis got his hit out of the way early last night against Seattle to put me at a W6 on Beat the Streak. That puts my current streak in a mildly depressing tie with my W6 from SIPs 102-104 for my second longest streak of 2015. I look to push this one into a clear silver medal position with a hit tonight from Hunter Pence. He faces off against Atlanta's Williams Perez. I've never seen Perez pitch before but at first glance on the BTS page he looked like an angry Gabriel Iglesias. So really how much of a threat can he be?
Over on Streak for the Cash, I was all kinds of wrong about the outcome of last night's Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Finals. I thought there would be a leader after the first period (my Streak pick) and the Rangers would win (my personal pick). Both were wrong as the Lightning will be going to their first finals since winning in 2003-04. For today, I wanted to pick an early game just so I didn't have to wait to see more red. I laid off the English FA Cup and instead chose the German DFB Pokal final between Borussia Dortmund and Vfl Wolfsburg. Dortmund are the overwhelming favorites of streakers, but I think Wolfsburg is the better team. I'm going with the "underdog" to get me off yet another late month slide. HAPPY STREAKING EVERYBODY!!!
