My Beat the Streak Postseason team was back in action last night as the Cardinals began the National League Championship Series with the San Francisco Giants. Madison Bumgarner once again struck down my Streak stable. Less than a week after throwing away my Streak for the Cash streak against the Nationals, he shut out the Cardinals en route to a Game 1 win. Matt Carpenter was able to scratch out one hit against the lefty. Jhonny Peralta was not as fortunate. I don't want either team to win. It is ROYALS NATION UP IN THIS SHIZZY NOW! Their uniforms are basically lighter versions of the Dodgers and they aren't St. Louis or San Francisco. National League allegiance is out the window right now, I am partying like it is 1985. That is literally too. I was two in 1985 and probably just laid around and pooped all morning. I at least have the common decency to use the toilet these days.
Speaking of the toilet, my Streak for the Cash entry is seeing red again. After boldly predicting the over on the Wainwright/Bumgarner strikeout prop yesterday evening, the under looked as if it was going to get me a win. Wainwright had just one punch out through two innings and Bumgarner had just one as well when Kolten Wong came up. A little dribbler, fly out, or pop up to the catcher would have been A-OK for me. Instead the Not-So Flyin' Hawaiian struck out on three pitches to put the prop at either 3 or 4, and my W1 in the toilet. The jerk didn't even flush.
Today I am picking nothing but football. The first game is from the European Qualifiers for Euro 2016 in...ugh...France. Defending European champions Spain were humbled in their second qualifier against Slovakia, losing 2-1. They should take their frustrations out on poor little Luxembourg and easily cover the 4+ goal spread. As for the other football, I am saying that either Nick Foles or Eli Manning will have 2+ TD passes in the first half of their Sunday Night Football encounter. I'm leaning towards Manning to be the one because Philadelphia's secondary is so putrid. It would not surprise me though if the Giants pissed away all the recent good will they've been building with their fans and lay an egg tonight. If that happens, Giants fans can at least turn those frowns upside down with this Rock 'n Sock Connection promo on Big Show and the Undertaker from 1999. HAPPY STREAKING EVERYBODY!!
