I learned several things with yesterday's Streak performance. Firstly, historical trends in South African football mean absolute diddly squat. After three years of decisively beating one another, neither the Black Aces or Sundowns looked interested in scoring a goal. I am assuming they looked this way as I wasn't able to find footage of a Wednesday afternoon South African Premier League game readily available. Either way, a 0-0 draw left me with a L2. However, it was all uphill from there!
Bayern Munich won by the exact scoreline I predicted, 2-0, in the exact manner I predicted. It made me feel like I actually knew what I was talking about, a strange feeling indeed. After the Bavarian juggernauts brought me back to the green side, I had to wait for my last pick of the day, Northern Illinois, to begin play. Luckily for me, work was quite busy with over twenty boxes of freight and customers who complained about the quality of pens available to borrow to fill out thank you cards in the mall foyer. The Huskies' game against Ball State went just as I theorized as well. Ball State kept it close for the majority of the affair but in the end they fell to the superior side. I expected nothing less from a team that lost to Army. Even though I was hoping for a W3 at the end of the day, a two game streak in a day is nothing to sneeze at. I don't like to sneeze at anything though, it is just rude.
While I was able to calmly select three tantalizing options from yesterday's board, today's provides no such luxury. KHL hockey is only a viable option when I am in the doldrums of at least an L5. There are a lot of Premier League options in Europa League action, but I am too much of a ninny to act on them. I just may pick Clemson +20 off books tonight, seeing how even Syracuse pasted the Demon Deacons, but I couldn't commit to them as a Streaking In Public selection. There is no enticement from the NHL and NBA offerings and Thursday Night Football can stick it where the sun don't shine. My pick for the day is a Europa League prop for the game between Dinamo Moscow from Russia and Estoril from Portugal.
The prop is involving the amount of goals that will be scored in the first half, one or any other number. It is the second meeting between these two in the Europa League group stages. Dinamo won the first game 2-1 in Portugal. Dinamo is sitting pretty at the top of Group E with three wins out of three games while Estoril is currently on the outside looking in for qualification into the knockout stages. Therefore, I am inclined to believe that this game be wide open in the early minutes leading to the possibility of the flood gates opening on either end rather quickly. Whether it be Estoril leaving themselves vulnerable at the back trying to get a goal or Dinamo playing a bit lackadaisical with their advancement all but guaranteed. I am banking on there being more than one goal between the two sides at noon eastern and me having that W3 for tomorrow that I should have had today. HAPPY STREAKING EVERYBODY!!
