The Streakmaster can't be in the best of moods right now. I don't know the man personally but with the boards he has cooked up the last two days, he's got some issues he is trying to work out on the Streaking faithful. I know Friday isn't the most bountiful sports day but throw us a bone here! Well, at least us trying to work our way out of the Streak wasteland and not the Leaderboard. They can suck it.
Yesterday I thought Dinamo Moscow and Estoril were going to have themselves a regular shootout at the OK Corral. Instead, it took a 77' minute strike from former German national team member Kevin Kuranyi to give the Russians a win. Either way I won the prop that any other number than one goal would be scored in the first half. Sometimes in this game you take a win even if it isn't pretty. Nope, I take that back. You ALWAYS take a win regardless of its aesthetics.
Since soccer outside of South Africa has been good for my record as of late, I looked to the early portions of the board for potential selections. The Russian matchup didn't do anything for me, neither did the one just before I have to go to work in La Liga. So naturally I put my trust in Friday night college football. That is a reasonable transition to make, right? I was also thinking about the Mavericks against the Jazz but after Utah's buzzer beating win against the Cavs I had second thoughts. Utah does play a prominent role in pick though. My pick is a combined win prop with the University of Memphis and Utah State. Both teams are 7.5 point favorites on the road against Temple and Wyoming respectively. I have the utmost confidence in the Aggies against Wyoming. Utah State boasts one of the best defenses in the country and Wyoming has yet to beat a team better than them in 2014. I have a bit of trepidation in the other half of the prop. The Temple Owls already defecated on one Streak (SIP 72) as 0.4% picks against then #21 East Carolina. They sport the defense ranked just ahead of Utah State. Memphis I say this to you, if you win this game it won't make up for the money you lost me when you gagged the NCAA basketball title game away to Kansas. That pain and financial loss will never truly fade. But it will be a start. HAPPY STREAKING EVERYBODY!
