I was so taken aback by my success yesterday that I couldn't bring myself to write today's Streaking In Public until this afternoon. It was either that or the fact that I couldn't upload .PNG images into the editor until about an hour ago. You choose which reality you would like to live in. My reality is that I am in the midst of a three game run that is very unusual for me. Adrian Gonzalez did what he does to keep me on the good side of the Beat the Streak battle. The Cardinals needed 14 innings, but they eventually dispatched the Pirates for a W3 on Streak For The Cash. John Wall kind of derailed things on Drive To The Finals (Washington beat Atlanta in Game 1) but I'll take the 38 PRA nonetheless.
I don't know why I haven't just been picking Adrian Gonzalez plus (INSERT ANY OTHER HITTER'S NAME HERE) as a double down for the entire season. My attempt to spread the wealth has just dampened my chances at becoming wealthy. Saying that, I feel like I am dooming my first baseman to a spell of unskillfulness with this new doctrine. Either that or I am just going to have a new person to get pissed off at with each failed double down. Jose Altuve is the first person to see which road I end up going down in laying blame.
I am traveling outside the NL Central but staying within the realm of baseball today on Streak For The Cash. King Felix Hernandez takes the hill for the scuffling Seattle Mariners as they head down the coast to play Matt Shoemaker and the Los Angeles Angels. The King has been the victor in 4 of Seattle's ten wins thus far in 2015. I don't think Shoemaker can keep him from Win #5 and me from a W4.
I am continuing my reign of stupidity on Drive To The Finals. I am hoping that the Clippers aren't out of gas after their first round classic of a series against San Antonio. I will be taking Houston's Josh Smith tonight because of that hope. Chris Paul being questionable makes me think I'll be drinking this game away tonight but here's to Blake Griffin being able to take over a game by himself! I'm screwed. HAPPY STREAKING EVERYBODY!!
