This is a segment I probably should have started earlier on but better late than never right? Streaking in public will let you the reader take a look into the mind of a person who is quite bad at "streak" games so you can plan your strategy accordingly. I will post my picks for MLB's Beat The Streak and ESPN's Streak For The Cash every day so you can tailor your strategy. That strategy, if you are smart, should be to not pick what I do. It'll serve you better in the long run. Trust me.
On MLB's Beat The Streak today I am going with Jose Abreu and Robinson Cano. Abreu has never faced Bud Norris, the Orioles' starter today, but is hitting .305 and has done right by me in previous selections. Robinson Cano on the other hand has raked against Phillies' right hander Jerome Williams (a .625 batting average). It is too gaudy of a number for me to ignore even if Cano has porked me three times in previous selections. I am trying to get off a big fat goose egg right now after not making picks yesterday and Mike Trout and Daniel Murphy defecating on themselves the day prior.
Over at ESPN's Streak For The Cash, I'll be trying to reverse the bad run of form I've had recently soccer. It seems if I am not picking Russian games I am losing for the most part. I just can't see this uberstacked Chelsea squad not pulling a Brock Lesnar on Burnley, a team I pegged as the worst in the Premiership. (You can see the rest of Bleeding Your Colors' BPL picks here.) I am stuck at .500 right now for the month but I am due for a hot streak. Win or lose I am following up this pick with the Mariners over the Phillies tonight. The M's are currently the 98.5% pick in that matchup.
Trevor Utley strongly suggest you play both these games but do NOT take his picks as gospel. You'll end up losing just as much as he does.
