For once, I cannot complain about the previous day's happenings. Jose Altuve got a hit, even if he made me wait all the way until the eighth inning. Isaiah Thomas put forth a solid 30 PRA (points + rebounds + assists) in a loss to Cleveland. Normally, good results like this would force me to overreact and pick irrationally the next day. Instead I shall keep a cool head and take it slow. Hopefully that will produce just as positive an outcome.
Paul Goldschmidt is my selection on Beat the Streak. He's been rock solid thus far in 2015 and draws a favorable matchup tonight in Texas' Yovani Gallardo. Goldschmidt is 5 for his last 7 against the former Brewers ace with a double and two RBI. He should add to both tallies this evening.
On my Drive To The Finals, I am taking Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers. CP3 had a monster game one in a Clippers win, but this is a series that I believe the Spurs will ultimately win. I am hoping for anything close to his 45 PRA from Sunday tonight and for the Spurs to even the series at 1-1. I'll even take a big game and a Clippers win because if Lob City doesn't go out to the defending champs, they're definitely going out in the second round. HAPPY STREAKING EVERYBODY!!
