Today's Streaking In Public has a bit of a twist because technically some of my streaking has already occurred. As you can see from the red bar with LOSS in all caps at the end, it didn't start off well. The Orioles and Yankees could not pull away from one another for more than a two run lead in the first three innings. That negates my win yesterday with Seattle. Granted, that win came out of spite as Fernando Rodney did his best to lose the game in the ninth. For that reason, I am going against the Mariners this evening with my Dodgers. Brandon McCarthy didn't do so hot in his first start but I am hoping for a rebound. I like James "No Relation to Bill" Paxton this year but he must lose so I can win!
After Dustin Pedroia ruined my Red Sox run on Beat the Streak, I go Dodger-centric today. Yes, I am aware that I picked Adrian Gonzalez yesterday as well. A-Gon is back in my lineup today with former Dodger Matt Kemp. Gonzalez will continue his torrid pace against the young non-star of Twister. Matt Kemp will commit former Dodger on former Dodger crime against Arizona's Rubby De La Rosa. Of course, all these are hypothetical statements as I have proved throughout 88 previous editions of this column that I'm very bad at this stuff. HAPPY STREAKING EVERYBODY!!
