Felix Hernandez you will no longer betray my trust. You are on my Streak Shit List pal. You haven't quite been inducted into the I Hate You Entirely Because of Streak For The Cash Hall of Fame, but you're damn close. As for Adam Lind and Lorenzo Cain, thank you for making my 4th of July at least half enjoyable in the Streakiverse.
I will be doubling down again today on Beat the Streak. I will be taking Colorado's Troy Tulowitzki against Rubby De La Rosa and the Arizona Diamondbacks. It is the ever so popular Battle of the De La Rosas as Jorge goes for the Rox. I could have picked somebody from either side of this game and been confident, but I decided to give Paul Goldschmidt a break since I've used him quite a bit as of late.
My other BTS selection will be Kole Calhoun. I love the Angels against Texas' Colby Lewis today. The Halos have pounded the right hander to the tune of a 7.99 ERA over the past three seasons. Alas, I am still rather angry at Mike Trout and Albert Pujols, so Calhoun takes the spot. It is not as if he hasn't had his successes against Lewis. He is 8-for-16 lifetime against him with two doubles, a triple, and a home run.
I once again make the day all about baseball as I am taking the Pirates on Streak for the Cash. Gerrit Cole is making a very good case to be the starter in the All-Star Game for the National League. Cleveland's Danny Salazar is one start removed from getting his head metaphorically torn off by the Tigers. Gerrit Cole for the W1 BAY BAY! HAPPY STREAKING EVERYBODY!!!!
