It is nearly 1 AM Eastern Time here in Rhode Island, but I am putting out this retrospective Streaking In Public anyhow. It will be short as you the reader is about to either fall asleep yourself or just start your day if you are overseas.
Beat the Streak continued to beat me up as Paul Goldschmidt torpedoed my double down after an 0-fer against Brett Anderson and the Dodgers. He was previously hitting over .600 against Anderson entering tonight's game so I felt the usually reliable Goldschmidt would be a lock. Paul took that feeling and threw it in the trash, right next to my hopes of the Knicks ever being viable championship contenders again in my lifetime.
My return to Streak for the Cash was less gloomy, but by the slightest of margins. I needed an injury time, heartbreaking own goal by Laura Bassett to green my Japanese pick from the semi-finals of the Women's World Cup. They will meet the USA in the finals. What will I pick tomorrow? It surely won't be fucking tennis! HAPPY STREAKING EVERYBODY!!!!
