They say Rome wasn't built in a day. Well a streak isn't built in a day either. It is especially difficult when a team like El Salvador, who have taken the best shots of CONCACAF big wigs USA, Mexico, and Costa Rica, can't beat a team like St. Kitts & Nevis. At least the NBA Finals is treating me with some semblance of respect. Fuckin' El Salvador.
I may be tempting fate here, but I am not involving Bryce Harper in today's Beat the Streak double down. He teamed up with DJ LeMahieu yesterday to get me to a W4. He's only facing Mike Fiers today, but I've decided to use some better matchups to my advantage. Josh Donaldson failed me last time out, but he destroys the pitcher he's facing tonight: Andrew Sanford's favorite pitcher Joe Kelly. He's hitting a clean .500 against him. Though Kelly is more prone to big walk totals than hit ones, I still like Donaldson tonight. My other pick is Atlanta's Freddie Freeman. Bartolo Colon lumbers to the bump against him and the past results definitely favor Freeman. A .438 average with three doubles spells a W6 for yours truly tonight.
After trying to get all my wins back in one day, I'm slowing it down tonight on Streak for the Cash. I'll be riding the golden arm of King Felix Hernandez as the Mariners face the Houston Astros. The 'Stros have been a favorite pick of mine thus far in 2015, but I am hoping the man making a ton of green for Seattle will keep me in the green here on SFTC. HAPPY STREAKING EVERYBODY!!!!
