This is going to be a very concise Streaking In Public because I need to get out to the bar for Steven Gerrard's final bow at Anfield as Liverpool take on Crystal Palace. Yesterday was a mixed bag of results, yet today should be better with the NBA Playoffs taking the day off. You should be ashamed of your 9 PRA Paul Pierce. Ashamed!
Although the bullpen blew the game, ruining my Streak for the Cash in the process, Paul Goldschmidt was able to muster up a hit in a late rally attempt. The Orioles could only salvage five hits against slow pitch softballer Jered Weaver yesterday. Thankfully, two of those came from Adam Jones. So now I go into today with a W4 and will be taking two second basemen in today's double down, one returning guest and a new one. Howie Kendrick has been killing it for my Dodgers recently so he gets a chance to kill it for my BTS entry against the 9.56 ERA-riddled Jorge De La Rosa and the Colorado Rockies. Jose Altuve makes his fourth appearance (SIP 90, 97, & 110) against Marco Estrada and the treading water Blue Jays.
I mentioned in the opening that this is Stevie G's last home game in a Liverpool shirt. Therefore, I am taking the Liverpool prop as my first pick today on Streak for the Cash. Liverpool seems to have a bogey team (a lesser team that they struggle with) in Crystal Palace. The Eagles stymied the Reds charge to the title last year and have been a thorn in their side throughout their constant up and down in the English football system. There will be goals today, from both sides, so I am taking that neither team with both win AND keep a clean sheet. My second pick will piggy back the Altuve pick from BTS as I am taking the Astros to defeat the Blue Jays tonight at 7:10. Marco Estrada has pitched fairly well but I feel he is due for one of his "give up five hits but they are all home runs" type of games. HAPPY STREAKING EVERYBODY AND YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE!!!
