The Gridiron Challenge is one of my favorite games on ESPN because it allows a fantasy football owner to perhaps own a player they normally wouldn't be able to acquire. Oh, you have the 11th pick in your draft? You have no chance of getting Adrian Peterson unless the first ten pickers have a stroke. With this game you can put together your own chameleon squad, changing its colors from week to week.
ESPN allows group creators to work within the game's two distinct roster construction options: Floating Cap or Player Eliminator. I of course chose to make the Official Bleeding Your Colors group a Player Eliminator Group. Each week you will build a new team from scratch and once the week is completed said players are out of your player pool until the end of the season. I tried this option out for the first time last year and needless to say one bad pick can burn you for a lot longer than you'd think.
If you don't have an ESPN.com fantasy account go get that taken care of then join us for another season of the Gridiron Challenge as we all gun for the $2000 Best Buy Gift Card. Just search for the group Bleeding Your Colors and join the group to win a serial numbered card from your favorite team! Try not to use all your Eagles Week 1.
Trevor Utley is a grizzled veteran of the Gridiron Challenge. By that of course he means he once placed third one week three years ago and has stunk out the joint the remainder of the time.
