You shouldn't be surprised when I start off one of these articles by saying I am back at zero. A nice 0-fer from Michael Brantley against Brad Peacock further dampened my chances of putting together a 57 game, $5.6 million hitting streak together. I tried to get cute yesterday but now I go back to the big guns. I unleash Miguel Cabrera and Giancarlo Stanton, two of my most picked players in this game. Cabrera has never faced Minnesota starter and personal namesake Trevor May, but the Tigers should be angry after the Twinkies put a 20 spot up on them yesterday. As for Stanton, he continues to rake. He has 2 hits in 5 at-bats in one appearance versus Colorado's Jordan Lyles. I expect he can replicate that form again today in the hitter friendly confines of Coors Field. I would also like to take a quick moment to say thanks for nothing to the eighteen players you failed me, my family, and my friends yesterday by not getting a hit. They have deprived us all of the $5.6 million bounty and should be ashamed of themselves.

In shocking news, I have a six streak! I have broken five for the first time in two months and I am pissed. I am pissed because I should have a W7 right now. Why did I not get the 2:30 Bayern/PSG double shot pick in? Well naturally because I had to take a dump. That's right my chances at a W7 yesterday were flushed down the toilet by my bowels. That second batch of pizza chips did me in. No more complaining though! I have a W6 thanks to none other than Danny Haren and have a big slate of games today. I am taking the first one on the board and going with the favorite. Chelsea easily dispatched Burnley in their first game. Even though they showed some pluckiness against Everton, I don't think the Foxes of Leicester City can cover two goals against the Blues. Hopefully after that affair I'll be taking a W7 into the afternoon. I am avoiding Arsenal/Everton and instead going with Chris Young and the Mariners against Boston. The Red Sox got to the King but were tagged for five in the ninth to end up on the losing side of the ledger. This Red Sox team, unlike last year, don't deal with demoralizing losses very well. There will be a hangover effect today and the rejuvenated Young will take advantage. That will probably be it for me today if both picks win. If not I will be picking both the UFC Fight Night picks tonight, both to go the distance.
