- Game 1 in the ALCS and Game 2 in the NLCS took place with a lot of "copycatting" in the Pick One Challenge.
- Only two picks on the evening weren't duplicates. One was unfortunately a visit from everybody's least favorite Pick One figure, BLANK, for Lenny. The other was Philadelphia's Jean Segura who himself would blank in Game 2 for Nate.
- Our other two blanks for the day came from Astros All-Star Kyle Tucker who went hitless for the duo of Colin and Matt in Houston's Game 1 win over the Yankees.
- San Diego's lone representative for the evening was the pick of both Ed and Pavli, Austin Nola. He would drive in a run with a fifth inning single that was the beginning of the end for his brother Aaron on the mound for the Phillies.
- A spot start for Philadelphia's Matt Vierling was an opportunity to pounce for Al and Scott. The two of them got an RBI double from the reserve outfielder that was part of a four-run second inning for Philadelphia.
- But our top scorers, on opposite ends of the table, were Buddy and Ryan with Houston's Chas McCormick. Typical Chas had a cycle bread dinner against the Yankees to finish on five total bases.
- Optimally, Jeremy Pena had eight total bases in Houston's Game 1 victory. He hit two doubles and a home run to account for over 33% of his team's total bases.
